A lot of RaiseMe this month! I would like to share why I like the program the most. Sure they give you little scholarships, but what I feel is most important is organization. Being organized will help in the college application process!! I use this as a reference for my Common App because it has all of my info in one place. My semester grades, sports, test scores, community service, etc. It’s a good way to start your foray to college. A messy application would be disastrous and this really helps! Ok, maybe not with the essay portion, but it is a good habit to get into. I hope you use RaiseMe for this purpose. It can be hard to get organized especially before senior year, but it will be a lot less work for you during application season. I hope you all have marvelous days.

Here is a walkthrough if the RaiseMe app. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments. (I apologize for the subpar audio.) Have a lovely day.Welcome back! I hope that you're having a great summer so far. My summer didn't get off to such a great start because I was in a car accident. But moving on, I plan to go to Boston in July to visit the city and colleges. And of course, I have summer homework to do, but I'm most excited about volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. I've always wanted to volunteer for them and I'm excited that I finally can. The site is an hour away from my house, but it will be worth it. I'm not sure what else I will do this summer, but I do hope that it starts to cool down. :)) Have fun storming the castle! (Have a wonderful summer.) As you all may know, pursuing an education can be tough. What used to just be simple addition and division has morphed into Trigonometry and imaginary numbers. Some people I know have dropped out of school or gone to GED completion schools instead of graduating. But what truly pushes you to go after your dreams can be a teacher or instructor who pushes you to do your best, in other words, a mentor. My mentor, as I've come to realize, is my mom. She has never hesitated to help me get a better advantage in school. I remember that in 1st grade I had lots of trouble reading, so my mom enrolled me in summer programs to get me back to grade level and eventually go beyond it. The program had actually helped me read a lot faster than people in my grade could and improved my reading scores. It also founded my love for reading. She has always wanted the best future for me because neither she nor my father have bachelor's degrees, making me the first to attend a 4 year uni. Every parent wants their kid to become a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer. Last summer, I got the opportunity to go to a 9 day medical program at UC Berkeley offered through NYLF. It was definitely an experience I'll never forget. We learned how to properly do sutures and CPR, which are life-saving skills. I also made new friends and got a chance to become more of a social person. But out of all the things I've learned, I am eternally grateful that my mom decided to push me towards learning, not away. Some kids at my school don't want to learn. They settle for taking a C or a D as long as they passed the class. And though you offer to help, they decline because they want to take the easy route. I get that sometimes it's really hard to accept or even ask for help, but it's often the only way to accomplish your goal. I'm glad that my mom doesn't let me take the easy way. If you start it, you eventually have to finish it. Because of my mom's influence, I plan to graduate in the Top 25 of my class. It will no doubt be hard given that I'm taking 3 or 4 AP classes, but I'll do it. After that I will go to an East Coast university. There I'll establish connections and become a lawyer.

I think that a lot of weight is pushed onto the last day of school. I feel like at first it was because summer was finally here and we got a break, but now it’s about stressing over what to do next with our lives. I sincerely hope that everyone does well for themselves after high school or even just between the summers. We’ve gotten this far haven’t we?
